Cornalees Visitor Centre at Loch Thom is the northern gateway to Clyde Muirshiel, Scotland's
largest Regional Park. It makes a great starting point for a variety of countryside walks including
the historic Greenock Cut (a 5.5 mile aqueduct and designated ancient monument designed and
built by Robert Thom in 1825) with fantastic views over the Clyde, the woodland 2.5km nature trail,
Dunrod Hill (298m) or the wheelchair friendly 500m mini trail.
Our Countryside Ranger Service provides lots of information on the seasonal wildlife, flowers and
fungi. For much of late spring and summer time swallows can be seen on TV screens in the Visitor
Centre as they nest nearby. The wildlife tank keeps kids enthralled with it's ever changing contents.
