Coventry Transport Museum celebrates its 30th Anniversary in 2010 and has some fabulous exhibitions to celebrate with.
Firstly there's 'Ghost Town? What Happened to the Coventry Car Industry?'. This is a brand new gallery inspired in design by Barbara Kruger and documents the plight of the Coventry car industry from 1980 to 2010. There are examples of the cars built during the turbulent 30 years and huge newspaper story boards telling the stories of those times. Also there's 'Transport for Disabled People' in April and 'Ice Cream Dream Machines' in July ' an exhibition of ice cream carts and vehicles through the ages along with pictures, mobiles, props and costumes'in fact anything associated with ice cream and how it was sold, just right for the Summer!
