Adjacent to both the Birmingham New and Old Main Lines, the Galton Valley Canal Heritage Museum in Smethwick is ideally place to explore the local canals and their history.
As well as the museum building on Brasshouse Lane we also look after the New Smethwick Pumping Station and the original site of the famous Smethwick Engine.
It is FREE to visit the museum and if you would like to visit the New Smethwick Pumping Station or the Smethwick Engine Site please speak to a member of staff to arrange a time.
