Formal & informal gardens with a variety of features. Former home of Noel Goddard Terry of the famous York chocolate-making firm, the house (in use as the Yorkshire office of the NT and not open to the public) was designed in 1927 by Walter Brierley. The garden, designed by George Dillistone, features terraces, a rockery, ponds, borders and a fine collection of shrubs.
