Much of the Grassmoor Country Park is on level ground with surfaced tracks for easier access. Unsurfaced access routes also provide links through the numerous maturing plantations of the park.
Grassmoor Country Park is a haven for a wide variety of wildlife, including water voles, harmless grass snakes, the Six Spot Burnet Moth, butterflies, Skylarks and Meadow Pipits. If you are lucky you may also see a Kestrel hovering in the air searching for voles or field mice below.
