About Newark Museums Service and National Civil War Centre

Newark Millgate Museum is now closed to visitors as we have been awarded £3.5 million of Heritage Lottery Funding to develop a new museum and national civil war centre at the Old Magnus Buildings on Appletongate Newark.

The museum staff are at our Resource Centre and working on projects towards the new museum that we aim to launch in late 2014.

We are still delivering our Resource, Learning and Outreach services from the Resource Centre where visitors are welcome to make enquiries and book a tour to see our vast collection of objects by appointment only.
