Royal Lochnagar is now owned by Diageo, which is one of the largest spirit producers in the world. They are the smallest of Diageo's 28 Malt Distilleries in Scotland. However, they are proud to say that Royal Lochnagar still retains much of it's original charm. This distillery farm buildings have remained largely unchanged since the 1845, which gives a feeling of real character. Today ,they employ a team of six highly skilled operators to produce there fine single malt whisky. The production methods are traditional and rely on age old traditions and craftsmanship.
The Distillery Visitor Centre was refurbished in 1998 to incorporate a shop which stocks a large range of single malt whiskies. They employ a small team of Distillery Guides to ensure you have a memorable visit and are always happy to provide help and advice in the shop.
