Luton's Stockwood Park Museum has undergone a £6m transformation thanks to a £3.7m cash injection from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), along with the recent award of £1.2m objective 2 European funding and funding from other generous external supporters.
Stockwood Discovery Centre, a free museum and visitor attraction that includes:
>fascinating interactive displays about the history of the area including the former Stockwood House
>new gardens to complement the current period gardens. These will include sensory, world and medicinal gardens
>a visitor centre with a brand-new shop and cafe
>an outdoor children's discovery area
>exciting changing exhibitions
>attractive new corporate entertainment / meeting room facilities for hire.
