The Rock Gardens, set in the picturesque setting of the old Palace Quarry. There are about 8 acres of wild gardens, ponds, a Rock Walk with lovely views from the top and a small, but attractive illuminated cave with interesting formations, all for you to discover.
The inclement weather during January has delayed the rebuilding of our tea room as it also has the tidying up and building of new paths in the garden walks. The Tea room will now open at Easter.
The nursery plant beds have all been restocked and you will find many new and interesting varieties. Our primroses are now flowering well. Why not pop in and buy a few to brighten up these dull February days?. In the heated greenhouse pots of Sweet Peas are growing well This year we have three varieties from which you can chose. Our first batch of spring bedding are growing well. These include three varieties of Argyanthemum, Bacopa in blue and white, Bidens, Brachyscome blue, Convolvus Blue three varieties of Diascia,Felicia,and six varieties Hardy Fucshia. Later we shall have our usual range of Geraniums,chocolat Cosmos sixteen more varieties of basket and bedding Fucshias,Osteospermum,Million Bells,Impatienes Begonias and other varieties of bedding.We shall have ten varieties of Tomatoes and other vegetable crops.We lo
