At The Tamar Otter and Wildlife Centre we many varied species of Otter. Our Asian Short Clawed Otters are split into two groups. Raymond and Sunny, then we have Thor, Tilly, Tomi, Tiny and Leah. Our British Otters are called Tino, Tamarisk, William, Pluto, Hilda, Harriet and Carmen. Not to be missed are the four hand reared otters, Biggy & Smalley (Asian Short Clawed Otters) who were born on the 25th November 2007 and were hand reared as their Mothers milk dried up. Cinnamon and Leap are wild born British Otters that were brought into the centre in February 2008 because both had been injured in separate accidents. Also at the centre we also have Fallow Deer some of which will come down and eat from your hand, and the much more shy Muntjac Deer. Watch the wallabies playing or snoozing amongst the trees, don't forget to look out for their babies 'Joeys' that live in their mothers pouches. We also have Bengal Eagle Owls, Snowy Owls, European Eagle Owls, Barn Owls, Little Owls, Tawny Owls, Kestrels and 'Karulah' our very friendly Bengal Eagle Owl. There is also a large selection of waterfowl on our two lakes that you can feed too.
