Housed in a 15thC hall-house, the museum presents the story of Wallingford from earliest times to the present day. Special features include a free audio tour featuring the Saxon town and medieval castle, models of the castle and Wallingford station, 19thC room settings and a street scene, including shop, pub, domestic area and workshop. Designed to be intimate and intriguing, bringing history alive. Special changing exhibitions every year. Schools programme available. Group visits can incorporate walk-round visits to Saxon earthworks, Norman castle and medieval town.
