Working watermill. Spanning the River Itchen, this water-powered corn mill was first recorded in the Domesday survey of 1086. Rebuilt in 1744, it remained in use until the turn of the last century and has now been restored to full working order. The waterwheel and machinery turn daily throughout the season and there is something to interest everyone, including awe-inspiring mill-races, hands-on activities for children.
