Aynhoe Park is a property that has been remodelled and altered throughout its history, first by Thomas Archer in the early 1700s and then by Sir John Soane a century later. Since then there have been several major changes in the life of the house. James Perkins bought the house in 2004 and has worked since then to transform Aynhoe back into a family home.
The house has a close connection with Sir John Soane, having been extensively remodelled by him. The spirit of the great man lives on with the current owner enjoying a close relationship with the Sir John Soane Museum in London. He also shares Soaneās passion for plaster casts and owns the largest private collection in the world. Aynhoe Park is a wonderful backdrop for displaying these.
