Craigievar's Great Tower has changed very little since it was first built by Master William Forbes in the early 17th century.
His family continued to live in the castle for the next 350 years and when a group of benefactors (including members of the family) bought the castle and presented it to The National Trust for Scotland in 1963,it came complete with the vast majority of the contents.
