Explore 500 years of history within the walls of this superb Napoleonic fortress set in 10 acres with magnificent views over the Humber estuary. This was the first Fort to be be built at Paull was completed in 1542. This fort was commissioned by Henry VIII as a defence for the then thriving Humber Ports, specifically Kingston Upon Hull. The Fort and site subsequently changed twice more before the fourth and final fort was built on the present site in 1862. It is this fort which you can visit today.
