Visitors are taken on a guided tour around the mill. Visits take approximately one hour.
If there is enough wind the mill sails will be turning.
Please note that access to the upper parts of the mill is via steep stairs, although there is easy access around the mill with glorious views of Derbyshire countryside; also a computerised presentation is available and accessible in the undercorft beneath the mill.
During your tour you will discover:
.The history of Heage Windmill
.How the miller controls the mill
.How stoneground flour is traditionally milled
.Stunning views over Derbyshire.
