This beautiful Georgian house, overlooking Montrose Basin, was built in 1730 by William Adam. The house features superb plasterwork, a particular and memorable feature. Outside, enjoy the attractive walled garden and woodland walks.
During winter 2011 there was significant work at the property to re-present it for the coming season.
Within the grounds the courtyard has underwent extensive repairs and redecoration to restore it to its former glory. The grounds, with the help of our international team of volunteers, look at their best despite the winters weather. The biggest change has to be the introduction of the Hutchison collection of Scottish colourists and the Stirling collection of furniture, ranging from the 18th century to the 1960s. Quite simply breathtaking!
