About Kentchurch Court

Kentchurch Court has been in the Scudamore family for over 1,000 years. The house, with a Deer Park, which dates back to the Knights Templars, nestles at the foot of Garway Hill.
Kentchurch Court lies at the heart of an estate of over 5,000 acres. At Kentchurch Court we offer a unique opportunity for our guests to taste the aristocratic country house experience.
Kentchurch court is not a hotel but a family home and we hope that in this informal atmosphere, parties of 'like minded' friends will come and relax. Kentchurch Court is the perfect venue for that 'significant' birthday or special occasion. At Kentchurch we can offer a variety of diversions for our guests.
Wine appreciation weekends, clay pigeon, paintballing. Trout fishing on the River Monnow and Pheasant Shooting are also available. Kentchurch is within easy reach of the Black Mountains, the Welsh Marches and Hay on Wye, famous for its bookshops and Literary Festival. Kentchurch Court was used as the location for Channel 4's Regency House Party. The whole house was re-decorated in the Regency style. Refreshments can be arranged. Mrs Chance's homemade scones are highly recommended!
Tours of Kentchurch Court are by appointment only.
