Leighton Moss Nature Reserve is the largest reedbed in north-west England, and home to some really special birds such as breeding bitterns, bearded tits and marsh harriers.
At Leighton Moss Nature Reserve you might even see deer too, not to mention butterflies aplenty!

Went to Leighton moss nature reserve this weekend with the family and had a fab time, the weather was lovely which helped. The café on site is outstanding and serves lovely food. Really good and well worth a visit if your looking for things to do in Carnforth, the lakes.
