Motherwell Heritage Centre is situated in a commanding location overlooking the Clyde Valley and adjacent to Motherwell railway station. It has a 'Visit Scotland' 4 Star award.
The main feature of the centre is the multi-media 'Technopolis' facility. This takes the visitor from the arrival of the Romans in the area, through the rise and fall of heavy industry to the present day regeneration of the district. The use of 'hands on' technology, with talking figures, re-created streets and foundry scenes really brings the industrial hey-dey of the area to life.
