The story of Nantwich's fascinating history is brought to life at Nantwich Museum. There, main galleries tell the story of the town in Roman salt making times, Tudor Nantwich's Great Fire (1583), the Civil War Battle of Nantwich (1644), the more recent shoe and clothing industries . . . and more. Exhibitions of all kinds are staged in two galleries on an ever-changing basis. Enter through the door of Nantwich's former Victorian Jubilee library and discover the exciting museum for yourself. Admission is free.
