Home of the Marquess of Anglesey, with spectacular views of Snowdonia. Set amidst breathtakingly beautiful scenery on the banks of the Menai Strait, this elegant house was redesigned by James Wyatt in the 18th century and is an interesting mixture of classical and Gothic. The comfortable interior, restyled in the 1930s, is famous for its association with Rex Whistler, whose largest painting is here.

What a house, the museum is fab, and the mural that Whistler painted is brilliant, there is so much history here, and then walking round the gardens, with a lovely view of the Menia Straight.
