Set in 40 acres on the beautiful Helford estuary, the National Seal Sanctuary rescues over 40 seal pups a year, providing refuge for those seals / sea lions unable to be returned to the wild. With many exciting areas to explore, the Sanctuary has something for everyone. The Seal Rescue Academy allows you to not only learn about seal rescue, you can become a rescue volunteer yourself. Learn how to tube feed a pup and take its temperature. Don't worry though, our special "plastic" pups don't bite. The real seals can be viewed at their most graceful in the underwater viewing observatories. Discover playful Otters in the woodland walk and a whole host of marine life in the Cornish Coast experience. Daily talks and feeding presentations make this a day out for the whole family.
