About The Old Mill Museum

The Old Mill at Lower Slaughter, Owned by Gerald Harris, a well Known Jazz Singer, is undergoing an ambitious restoration scheme which will continue into the millenium. At present the business is thriving as a museum gift and craft shop with riverside tea rooms and an ice cream parlour famous for its organic handmade ice cream,- free tasting April - October. The Mill has turned into an irresistable magnet attracting visitors from all over the world strolling around the picturesque village of Lower Slaughter with its beautiful river and Cotswold Stone bridges.
After your trip through the museum, you may browse around the gift shop and craft centre, or sip your tea by the millpond and feed the resident ducks and swans. You will hear the songs and ballads of the 1930 + 1940's playing and can buy a great selection of jazz CDs in the shop.
