The Whitstable Castle and Gardens is a wonderful day out for those of you with a few hours or even a whole day to spare.
The best way to get the most out of your trip to the Castle is to combine it with a visit to nearby Whitstable Old Town, The Harbour and the wonderful beaches and promenades of Tankerton all of which are just a few hundred metres from the Castle itself.
The Whitstable Castle and Gardens dates back to the 1790's, the Castle and Grounds have been home to local merchants and dignitaries and has remained a landmark attraction throughout its long and interesting history. It has recently undergone a major refurbishment and restoration to return it to its former glory funded by the Lottery, Canterbury City Council and other benefactors and is now a 'must see' for anyone visiting the town.
