Venniehill is a wildflower-rich grassland with a hilltop viewpoint, at the west end of the main street, managed to encourage diversity of flora and associated invertebrates.
The hilltop is partially surrounded by a low earthwork, perhaps the defence structure of an old fort or early settlement.
