About Winkworth Arboretum

Tranquil hillside woodland with sweeping views. Established in the 20th century, this hillside arboretum now contains over 1,000 different shrubs and trees, many of them rare. The most impressive displays are in spring with magnolias, bluebells and azaleas, and in autumn for stunning colours. In the summer it is an ideal place for family visits and a picnic
