About Winston Churchill's Britain at War Experience

This attraction gives the closest possible insight into civilian life during World War Two.

Explore the everyday hardships of people living and working in war-torn Britain, including evacuation, food & clothes rationing, bomb disposal, air-raids and much more.

Take the lift down to the London Underground and view film footage about those poignant years. 1939 - 1945 were the years that changed history, dramatically!

Visit the BBC Radio station. Look into the dressing room of the war-time stars and take refuge in the darkness of the Anderson shelter while listening for the 'All Clear'.

View exhibits about evacuation, food & clothes rationing, land army, bomb disposal and much more! Finally take a walk through a London Street just after a bomb has dropped, complete with full 'sound effects'.

Suitable for all ages and children can try on gasmasks & uniforms. SEE IT! FEEL IT! BREATHE IT!
