Coombe Country Park
For a family day out, or a quiet little picnic in the open air, visit Coombe Country Park. It offers 500 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland, lakeside walks, and bird watching.
Coombe Country Park has been awarded Country Parks Accreditation. In 2009 Natural England established an Accreditation Scheme to identify and recognise sites that deliver the core facilities and services expected of a Country Park. This is in addition to it's Green Flag, VAQAS award (Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme by VisitEngland) and LOTC ( Learning outside of the classroom) award.
Facilities include: Visitor Centre, Shop and Information Point, Discovery Centre, Heron's Café, Baby Changing Facilities, Two outdoor play areas (including the challenging Climbing Forest), BBQ/Picnic areas, Accessible paths for wheelchairs and buggies, Bird Hide, Fishery, and much more.
