When exploring Linacre Reservoirs it is easy to forget that Chesterfield is only a few miles away!
The information board near the ranger base is a good place to start. It shows a map of the site, with footpaths, bridleways and bike trials around the site.
This 200 acre site consists of three small reservoirs and an attractive mixture of deciduous and coniferous woodland. Owned by Severn Trent Water and managed in partnership with us, the reservoirs provide a peaceful place for a family walk.
Surrounded by mixed woodland you can enjoy walking, cycling, bird watching and picnicking and in the Autumn there is an amazing variety of fungi in the woods.
